So do I invest the extra money into a better counter now or stick with the laminate to save costs. Granite is great in rentals because it takes a beating a little better than laminate. I am a advocate of impervious surfaces in rentals fluid can be very destructive. There are definitely deals out there and I prefer granite over laminate for a rental property. The price of installation is not the deciding factor for me.
